There are multiple ways to help our 5 library system with funding and/or time. Please take a moment to investigate how you can participate in improving our libraries' response to needs of Plano's quarter million citizens. Your acknowledgement could range from recognition as a member of The Society on our web page to an individual dedication related to a capital improvement. A great starting point would be to e-mail one of our board members with an intention of interest. (See left margin.) For financial guidance, our Treasurer, Reva Bartlett can be reached at North Dallas Bank (972-716-7189). Our 501(c)(3) tax number is 75-1921765. Here are some devices that can be employed for donations:
Checks: Sign, seal and mail - the old fashion way to:
Credit Card: We have a secure web site at PayPal. You need only click on the Donate button below, and you will be transferred to the PayPal site,
where you DO NOT need to be an account holder. Although you can use your PayPal account, PayPal will accept donations via the credit cards pictured below.
There you may choose the amount of your donation. And, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Plano Public Library Foundation will be happy to issue you
a tax-exempt notice. HOWEVER, in order to do so, we need to know who you are and to what address you wish the notice sent! So, in addition to the donation,
please send our Secretary, Glen Pourciau (glenp@plano.gov), an email with a statment of your donation (to match up
with the information from PayPal) and your name and address, so you'll get the tax exemption. Matching Gifts: Duplicate your dollars when your employer matches your donation. Wills / Bequests: Leave a true legacy by remembering your dedication to learning. Trusts: Earn income and tax benefits for you and your family while you give. Gift Annuity: Receive income from a generosity. Life Insurance: Perhaps an additional beneficiary could be an acceptable vehicle. In-kind: Gifts other than cash such as art, books or technology. Securities: Donate stock and avoid capital gains. Retained Real Estate: A future gift of a home or property provides a current benefit. |
The Plano Public Library Foundation is a Texas-based, 501(c)3 tax-exempt foundation, contributions to which earn federal income tax exemptions to the fullest extent of applicable law. Our tax exemption number is 75-1921765.
